A Cylon / Cthulhu Alliance? Bad News for Humanity?

September 10th, 2010 · 2 Comments

Yesterday at work, I was perturbed to return to my desk after a short break to find my Cthulhu (Phineas) and my Cylon Centurion doing this:

Cthulhu High-Fiving Cylon

I’m not sure whether they were high-fiving each other or shaking hands, but this seems to mark a new alliance between two forces who have historically been utterly opposed to humanity’s survival.

I would have thought that such an alliance could not possibly bring good news. But only a few hours later, I heard on Twitter that Syfy is bringing Caprica back in the fall, rather than waiting for the spring. I don’t know what this means for a possible Season 2, but it’s progress for fans.

So maybe Cthulhu is using his powers….for good? Well, I’m not sure I’d go that far but perhaps he’s a fan of Caprica.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still nervous as heck about this potential alliance between the Cylons and Cthulhu, but maybe it won’t all be so bad. Until they nuke or nom us out of existence…

I don’t think this is going to end well for anyone.
