Cthulhu-Cylon Hybrids — Half Tiny Cthulhu, Half Tiny Cylon

Last week, Autumn of Geek Six interviewed me about Cthulhu-making and Lovecraft. She liked my picture of the worrying Cylon/Cthulhu alliance and added:
Now I kinda want to see a cythulu, I imagine it would be knitted gray and have a strip of glowy red instead of the googly eyes.
My response?
Dammit, Autumn. Now I have to make one. Dammit. I’ll get back to you next week with pics if it works out.
Sometimes I just get a crafting bug in my head and the only way to get it out is to make the damn thing. So here I present not one, but TWO Cthulhu-Cylon hybrids. Whether they’re Cythulhus, Cthylons, or something unnameable, I’m not yet sure.

The first one I made had a full red strip, but while I liked that I felt it wasn’t quite right. Cylons don’t glow red, they have that tiny red eye thing that moves back and forth. We’d need a space in which it could move. So I made the Cythulhu on the left, which I prefer. Twitter opinion seems to be mixed. What do you think?

I like the Cthylon on the left, though both are wonderful. They’re really quite genius.
