CthulhuCthulhu Go To See EvelynEvelyn
June 18th, 2010 · Leave a CommentLast night I went off with friends to see EvelynEvelyn performing at the 9:30 club. I brought along CthulhuCthulhu who were very excited to see the twins. In fact, before we left they asked if I thought the twins might let the conjoined Cthulhus come live with them. I told them it was very possible and helped them write a short letter of introduction. Since CthulhuCthulhu were very excited about Amanda Palmer’s ponies, I had to make sure they understood they were NOT allowed to nom the ponies.

CthulhuCthulhu rode in my purse. This was their first trip outside the apartment. They were a little bit nervous about that, but they still peeked up over the edge
Based on what they’d heard of the great wide world outside, CthulhuCthulhu were not terribly impressed by the area where I live. Somehow they’d gotten into my fantasy books and were expecting lush plains and mountains.
They could see more of the sky than from the apartment. They still complained about not being able to see the stars.
The trains fascinated them. I couldn’t quite hear what they were saying to each other, but it had something to do with snacks that pre-package themselves.
Once we got underground, they began to gibber excitedly. They were concerned that there might be shoggoths, and they were rather small and defenseless. I promised them that while WMATA fails on a number of other counts, we didn’t seem to have a shoggoth infestation.
Before we went to the club, they wanted to have their picture taken in front of the African-American Civil War Memorial.
At the 9:30 club, they wondered why the posters said that there wouldn’t be audio & video recording when clearly both Amanda Palmer and Jason Webley were ok with it. They decided that maybe it was because EvelynEvelyn were so shy. As it turned out, 9:30 club was wrong.
We were up in the balcony and got a spot on the edge right above the stage. It was an awesome place to watch the concert.
Right before they met Amanda and Jason, who promised to pass them on to EvelynEvelyn (who are, of course, too shy to meet fans), CthulhuCthulhu asked me to take their picture. I’d put the letter of introduction in an envelope and pinned it to their behinds.
Jason and Amanda were very friendly, so I think CthulhuCthulhu will enjoy their new home. As long as they don’t try nomming Amanda’s ponies….
Fin.
